Pomona Parent Project Receives Honors

The California Youth Authority has honored the Pomona Parent Project, a collaborative effort of Pomona Police Department and Pomona Unified School District designed to reach parents of at-risk youth.
Sgt. Ralph Fry received the Distinguished Service Award, and the district received the Outstanding Program for Youth Award.
The project offers parents four weekly sessions providing information on tough discipline techniques, gang awareness, drug and alcohol abuse prevention, and school success.
