Camp Pendleton

The Marine Corps has placed mandatory restrictions on water use at Camp Pendleton and will issue warnings or citations to water wasters.
Residents of the base, which receives water from its own underground wells, can water their lawns for only 30 minutes twice a week, between the hours of 6 p.m. and 7 a.m.
This is the first time in about 20 years that water conservation measures will be enforced rather than voluntary at the base.
Camp Pendleton joins 18 cities and water agencies in San Diego County that have agreed to mandatory water savings.
