Slow Growth to Continue in Pacific Region: A new report by the Pacific Economic Cooperation Conference forecast an average growth rate of 5% in 1990 for 15 countries in the Pacific-Asia region. That compared to an average growth rate of 5.3% in 1989 and 7.2% in 1988. Growth in 1990 among individual countries will range from a high of 9% for Thailand to a low of 0.8% for Australia.
