In Brief:
*** 1/2 THAT PETROL EMOTION, “Chemicrazy,” Virgin. After the aptly titled 1987 debut “Manic Pop Thrill,” this Irish-band-with-an-American-singer’s pop sense got lost and the thrill was gone. But after two albums of all groove and no song, the thrill is back at the incendiary level you’d expect from a band that descended from Northern Ireland’s melodic punk boy wonders the Undertones.
Albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor) to five stars (a classic).
