Second No-Hitter for Vista’s DeLeon

Rodney DeLeon tied a San Diego Section record by throwing his second no-hitter of the season Wednesday, but he had to wait until the bottom of the seventh before his Vista teammates pushed across a run for a 1-0 victory over San Dieguito.

With one out, Tim Cowell drove home pinch-runner Eric Jinks.

DeLeon (4-5), a junior, had 10 strikeouts. His other no-hitter was against Bonita Vista in the Lions Tournament.

Vista improved to 9-12-1, 3-5-1. San Dieguito is 2-19-1, 1-7-1.
