2 Killed and 2 Injured in Collision in Huntington Beach
Two 86-year-old women were killed and two other people injured in a two-vehicle collision Saturday night at Adams Avenue and Magnolia Street.
Wilhelmina Reppenhagen of Huntington Beach and Catherine Deibel of Laguna Hills died in the 7:51 p.m. accident, police said.
In the other vehicle were Chad Zarley, 19, of Huntington Beach and Danny Labrenz, 20, of Westminster, who were taken to Humana Hospital-Huntington Beach where both were listed in good condition Sunday.
The accident happened when Reppenhagen, driving a 1983 Buick, turned left from westbound Adams onto southbound Magnolia and collided with a 1987 Chevrolet being driven east on Adams by Zarley, said Police Sgt. Lloyd Edwards.
Deibel died in surgery at Pacifica Community Hospital, and Reppenhagen died on arrival at UCI Medical Center in Orange after being airlifted there, Edwards said.
