Pepperdine University
Pepperdine University School of Business and Management held its commencement Saturday morning on the Malibu campus. Degrees were confered on 384 graduates with 271 receiving MBAs, 85 receiving BSMs, and 28 receiving MSOD.
Thomas E. Everhart, (Harvard 1953, A.B. in Physics; M.Sc. UCLA, 1955; PhD in Engineering, Cambridge University, England 1958), the president of Caltech delivered the keynote address. From his address:
“As the poet Robert Frost once said, ‘The world is full of willing people--some willing to work, and the rest willing to let them.’ ”
Honorary doctor of laws degrees were awarded to Everhart and Harriett M. Wieder of the Orange County Board of Supervisors.
