2 Cal Poly Professors Receive $1,000 Grant
Two Cal Poly Pomona professors have been awarded a $1,000 grant from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation for a project aimed at restoring the prestige of teaching as a career.
Dorothy MacNevin, assistant professor in the school of education, and Edward Walton, associate professor in the college of science, will work on the project.
The award will help implement Project LOVE (Learning Offers Virtually Everything) to recruit youth to the teaching profession through interaction with master teachers and elementary and high school students.
