ABC and CBS Shuffle Midseason Programming

Two midseason series on ABC and CBS were placed on hiatus Friday.

“H.E.L.P,” ABC’s Saturday-night action series that came in 73rd in last week’s Nielsen ratings, will be replaced April 21 by “Sunset Beat,” a series about an unusual band of undercover Los Angeles policemen who cruise their beat on motorcycles. It stars George Clooney, Michael DeLuise and James Tolkan.

“City,” the CBS sitcom starring Valerie Harper, will have its last broadcast on Monday at 8:30 p.m. April 16. It will return to the schedule later, the network said.
