Canyon 2, El Modena 0--Mike Casagranda (2-0) pitched a three-hitter with three strikeouts for host Canyon (3-5, 2-0).

Orange Lutheran 5, Santa Margarita 4--Host Orange Lutheran scored two runs in the sixth inning to take a 5-4 lead. Orange Lutheran is 5-2, 1-0.
Capistrano Valley Christian 8, Whitney 7--Visiting Capistrano Valley Christian (6-0, 1-0) had three hits but took advantage of seven errors. In the Pacific Coast League:
Laguna Hills 8, Orange 1--Kevin Lovingier (4-0) pitched a three-hitter and struck out 10. He has 58 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings this season. Matt Maffei hit a grand slam for host Laguna Hills (5-4, 2-0).
Trabuco Hills 14, Costa Mesa 2--Jim Skidmore was three for five and Josh Sewell and Jason Orcutt each was two for three with two RBIs to led visiting Trabuco Hills (6-0, 2-0).
In the Sunset League:
Fountain Valley 6, Edison 5--Brain Ponchak had a single and scored two runs for visiting Fountain Valley (4-5, 1-1). Jeff Hale pitched seven innings for the victory. Edison is 5-3, 0-2.
Huntington Beach 10, Marina 5--Oman Zamora tripled with the bases loaded to break a 5-5 tie in the fifth inning for host Huntington Beach (7-4, 2-0). Tony Mower (2-0) pitched 1 2/3 innings for the victory.
Ocean View 15, Westminster 5--Gil Gonzalez had three hits, including a home run and two RBIs, and Daniel Hernandez (two RBIs), Keith Herrel (two RBIs) and Rick Crowe (three RBIs) each had two hits to lead host Ocean View (7-2, 2-0).
