WORLD : Yves Saint Laurent Hospitalized
From Times Wire Services
PARIS — Yves Saint Laurent, one of the world’s best-known couturiers, has been hospitalized to recuperate from exhaustion, his fashion house said today.
Saint Laurent, 53, will not attend the presentation of his ready-to-wear spring collection on Wednesday, and his doctor advised him to abandon his business activities for several weeks to rest, a statement said.
The hospitalization was ordered Saturday by Dr. Michael Prendeville after Saint Laurent underwent a thorough medical examination that disclosed no signs of any infectious diseases.
