Rooney Redux

Andrew Christie (Letters, March 3) criticizes Howard Rosenberg by asserting the columnist “protests the inevitable reaction to his defense of (Andy) Rooney by saying, gee, if you criticize a black person these days everybody calls you a racist. That’s disingenuous. And arrogant. And dumb.”

Christie failed to include the most important point: And true.
