COSTA MESA : Some Car-Poolers to Get Into Fair Free
It will cost more to attend the Orange County Fair next year, but not for those who arrive via car pool.
The fair’s Board of Directors approved new rates this week that allow free admission for car pools of four or more persons, but increase adult admission from $4 to $5 and senior citizen admission from $2 to $3. Children will be admitted for $2. Parking fees were increased from $2 to $3.
“We tested the car-pool idea this year by holding a car-pool day, and 11,000 people responded to the offer, so we decided to include it in our admissions policy,” said Jill Lloyd, director of media relations for the fair.
The 1990 Orange County Fair will be held July 11-22.
