China’s Future

In response to “China’s Party Chief Predicts a Bright Communist Future,” Sept. 30:
Chinese Communist Party chief Jiang Zemin said, “Economic growth will depend largely on better education, more effective use of scientific and technical knowledge and increased labor productivity.” However, when a person is better educated, I am sure that he or she will clearly know that “socialist reform” means to adjust the present Chinese system similar to those in places like Hong Kong and the U.S. “Reform and opening” are the main causes of the westernization in China.
Besides, thousands of well-educated people were “disappeared” in June. It will be a long time before we see a bright future in China.
