Prices of Imports Decline: The price Americans paid for imported goods fell 1.3% during the summer, reflecting a stronger dollar and falling energy costs, the government reported. The Labor Department said the price decline in the third quarter was identical to a 1.3% decline in the same period a year ago. Falling oil costs played the major role in both price decreases.
