2 State Senators Plan Gang Violence Hearing

State Sens. Gary K. Hart (D-Santa Barbara) and Ed Davis (R-Valencia) will hold a public hearing today on gang violence in Ventura County at the Ventura County Government Center.
The hearing, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., is being sponsored by the Oxnard and Port Hueneme PTA Councils. Speakers include educators, business leaders, law enforcement officials and social services workers. Questions from the audience will be addressed.
A parents forum on the same issue will take place at 7 tonight at Haydock Intermediate School, 647 W. Hill St., Oxnard.
