Orange Coast Daily Pilot May Be Sold: The owners of the Orange Coast Daily Pilot confirmed that they are negotiating to sell the Costa Mesa-based daily newspaper to Robert E. Page, a former publisher of the Chicago Sun-Times and Boston Herald. Kirk Cheyfitz, president of the publishing division of Adams Communications Corp., which purchased the Pilot last year from Ingersoll Publications Co., confirmed the negotiations. The Pilot, which primarily serves the Costa Mesa-Newport Beach area, has a circulation of about 23,000.
