Houston Astros catcher Craig Biggio was placed on two years’ probation, fined $350 and ordered to perform 50 hours of community service after he was convicted of driving while intoxicated.
Biggio was arrested June 8, several hours after a game with the San Diego Padres. Houston police said he was driving Astro third baseman Ken Caminiti home after the two had visited several bars.
