Glendale 34, Burbank 18--Sophomore Pathon Rucker rushed for 134 yards in 21 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead the Nitros at Burbank.
Burbank (1-3-1) jumped to a 10-7 first-quarter lead on Adam Saldana’s 48-yard field goal, but Glendale (3-2) responded with four consecutive touchdowns, the final one a 32-yard interception return by Mike Campbell.
Glendale quarterback Eric Kiesau completed only three of eight passes for 51 yards and one touchdown, of three yards to Axel Nielson.
Glendale held Burbank’s rushing attack to minus-10 yards. Burbank quarterback Jeremy Sparks passed for 151 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Glendale backup quarterback Robert Kulp threw for 66 yards and a touchdown.
