SOUTHLAND : 80 AIDS Demonstrators Arrested

Eighty AIDS activists were arrested this morning at a noisy demonstration outside the Federal Building in Westwood in a protest over the Bush Administration’s response to the AIDS crisis.
About 400 demonstrators from ACT UP of Los Angeles and Long Beach and the Orange County Visibility League banged drums, blew whistles and linked arms to block the main entrance to the building.
