Santa Monica : Recycling Starts at College
- Share via
Bins and cardboard boxes have been installed at the Santa Monica College campus to encourage recycling of cans, glass and paper.
Under the new program, a joint effort between the college and the city of Santa Monica, bins for plastic bottles, glass, cans and newspapers have been set up in the parking lot just west of the library, at 17th and Pearl streets. The city donated the bins and will make collections from them.
Cardboard boxes and other containers have been put in offices throughout the campus for office paper, which will be collected by students about once a week.
