A car struck and killed a woman walking across a street in Sepulveda Monday, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
The woman was about 55. Her name was not released until relatives could be notified.
She was not in a crosswalk when she was struck shortly after 8 p.m., Sgt. Bill Selesky said. She died at the scene of the accident, near Woodman Avenue in the 13600 block of Roscoe Boulevard, he said.
The driver of the car, a 24-year-old man whose name was not immediately available, was not cited, but an investigation into the accident had not been completed, Selesky said.
