The Nevada Supreme Court upheld an injunction against the National Collegiate Athletic Assn., thereby allowing Nevada Las Vegas Coach Jerry Tarkanian to retain his job.
After winning a U.S. Supreme Court ruling last December that it didn’t have to provide coaches due process rights, the NCAA asked the Nevada Supreme Court to lift the lower-court injunction that prevented UNLV from suspending Tarkanian.
But Tarkanian’s attorneys argued that the U.S. Supreme Court ruling affected only part of the injunction.
