El Camino Real 20, Fairfax 16--El Camino Real’s running tandem of Jamal Anderson and Lejon Carr accounted for 243 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Conquistadores at Canoga Park High.
Anderson gained 125 yards in 19 carries and scored the winning touchdown with 7:05 remaining, and Carr rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns in 17 carries.
Fairfax’s Mario Mattison rushed for 204 yards in 27 carries, but his second fumble of the second half--recovered by El Camino Real on the Lions’ 34-yard line--led to Anderson’s score.
The only pass reception of the game was a 25-yard scoring bomb from Fairfax quarterback Rajeem Muhammed to Milo Bynum with 4:27 left in the third quarter.
