Hesperia 12, Quartz Hill 3--Hesperia held Quartz Hill (2-1) to minus-14 yards rushing and upset the host Rebels. Hesperia quarterback Brian Kalk completed 12 of 19 passes for 177 yards, and John Rocca rushed 29 times for 108 yards.
Hesperia (2-1) led, 6-3, when Rocca scored on a two-yard run with 11:28 left. Hesperia missed both of its extra-point attempts. Kenneth Williams caught five passes for 109 yards to lead Hesperia’s receivers.
