Garden Grove : Fire in Apartment Leaves Family Homeless
- Share via
A family of six was left homeless Tuesday when a fire gutted their apartment.
No one was injured, but three adults and three children were driven out of a unit of the Crystal Wells Apartments in the 13000 block of Lampson Avenue shortly after 3 p.m., said Diane Boyles, a dispatcher for the Garden Grove Fire Department.
The blaze caused an estimated $100,000 in damage to the family’s unit and its contents, as well as $2,500 in smoke damage to a neighboring apartment in the four-unit building, Boyles said.
Boyles said the Red Cross was arranging temporary housing for the family. The cause of the fire remained under investigation Tuesday.
