Carolco to Boost Stake: Carolco Pictures said it will buy more shares of Live Entertainment on the open market. Carolco, which already owns 48% of Live’s voting stock, said it thinks that the shares are “greatly undervalued at this time.” Carolco also said company officers, including Chief Executive Peter Hoffman, will purchase Live shares. The price of Live shares has declined significantly after the murder of Live’s chairman and his wife in their Beverly Hills home on Aug. 20.
