Country singer Dolly Parton has her theme park named “Dollywood,” and now Merle Haggard--who once sang he was “proud to be an Okie from Muskogee”--reportedly wants to build a theme park there. Haggard is expected to announce next month that he will lend his name and make an unspecified investment in a theme park and a tourist railroad serving Muskogee County in Oklahoma.The historic railroad line goes though a scenic stretch between Muskogee and Bixby. The line’s steam engine is to be called the Merle Haggard Express. Barry Smith, vice president of Sunbelt Ra17687148631734898720l and Bixby and also connecting with the theme park.
