Playing Musical Soaps: Peter Bergman has left his role as Dr. Cliff Warner on ABC’s “All My Children” to take over as Jack Abbott on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless.” Terry Lester, who was playing Abbott, is now appearing as Mason Capwell on NBC’s “Santa Barbara.” Abbott moved into the Capwell role that was created in 1984 by Lane Davies, who rotated out of the soap to pursue other interests.
