Saudis Give $6 Million to PLO to Aid Uprising

JIDDA, Saudi Arabia — The Saudis gave the Palestine Liberation Organization $6 million in August to support the 21-month-old uprising in Israeli-occupied territories, PLO officials said Sunday.
Riyadh has paid the PLO $850 million over the last 10 years under the terms of pledges by oil-rich Arab countries to help the PLO and Arab states on the front line of conflict with Israel.
Since January, Saudi Arabia has given the PLO $6 million each month to help finance the uprising.
