Producer-director Ed Greenberg, who spent 11 seasons with Edwin Lester’s Los Angeles and San Francisco civic light operas, has retired after 19 summers as executive producer of the St. Louis Municipal Opera’s theater season. Greenberg directed 14 productions for Lester and was associate producer on 20 others. During his 40 years in the musical theater, he has also directed at Lincoln Center and Jones Beach in New York. He’ll continue teaching theater at Queens College in New York.
