Culver City at Inglewood
Culver City parlayed a stingy defense and just enough offense into a 12-7 defeat of St. Bernard in its opener last week. The Centaurs held the Vikings to six first downs and a total offense of 64 yards.
Culver quarterback Troy Dunlap completed some key passes, including a 36-yarder to Greg Hooks and a 25-yard touchdown toss to sophomore Dameron Ricketts. The big catch by Hooks was on the drive to the winning touchdown, which came on a one-yard plunge by fullback Tony Marquez and featured two carries for 24 yards by tailback John Haqq .
The game, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, will be the opener for Inglewood, 0-9 last season.
