Cable TV also looks alluring to former Delaware Gov. Pierre (Pete) du Pont IV, an unsuccessful candidate for the Republican presidential nomination last year. He has a one-hour pilot for a monthly program, “Panoply: A Consumer’s Guide to the Information Age,” coming up Sept. 24 on CNBC, the NBC-owned business and consumer cable network. Du Pont will introduce the program and participate on a panel that will include Harvard law professor Arthur Miller, along with print and electronic journalists.
