Last year, after Alhambra refurbished the Alhambra Park Bandshell, the city began a series of outdoor concerts that will be held through Sept. 21. The bandshell, 500 N. Palm Ave., now features aluminum seats and a new sound system and lighting. The concerts, including the Dave Winstone Band, above, which performed in August, attract up to 400 people.
Concerts are tonight at 7:30, when Flight will perform jazz; Sept. 17 at 4 p.m., featuring the Pacific Brass Quintet playing ragtime and Dixie, and Sept. 21, at 7:30 p.m., when the Pathfinder Youth Orchestra will perform contemporary classics.
Movies are shown on Fridays at 8 p.m. “The Black Stallion” will be featured Sept. 15 and “Tiger Town” on Sept. 29.
