The town meeting-style discussion, entitled “The Drug Crisis: Public Strategies for Breaking the Habit,” will feature four panelists and offer audience members a chance to add their views. Proposals generated at the session will be forwarded to officials for local, state and federal governments.
Panel members will include Michael Capizzi, chief assistant district attorney for Orange County; Ted Hunter, a former Drug Enforcement Administration official, and Maxine Thomas, associate dean of the University of Georgia School of Law. Robert Kingston and Carol Farquhar, both of the Kettering Foundation, will serve as moderators.
The forum will be in the Johnson Center at the Rancho Santiago College campus in Santa Ana.
A $5 registration fee includes materials and refreshments.
