Catches by Ellis, Wright Aid Edmonton Win

Former Poly High standout Craig Ellis and former Cal State Northridge star Keith Wright each caught fourth-quarter touchdown passes Wednesday night, leading the Edmonton Eskimos to their fifth consecutive win, a 45-19 triumph over the Saskatchewan Roughriders in a Canadian Football League game at Edmonton.
Ellis, who made a game-high seven catches for 96 yards, caught a 15-yard touchdown pass from Tracy Ham with 3:50 remaining to give Edmonton (7-1) a 28-11 lead.
Wright, an All-Western Football Conference selection with CSUN in 1987, made his only reception count, grabbing a 15-yard touchdown pass from Ham with 2:45 left, extending Edmonton’s lead to 35-11.
Ellis is the Eskimos’ leading receiver with 41 catches, and he also has a team-high seven touchdown receptions.
