Countywide : Collision Kills 2 on Santiago Canyon Road

Two people were killed in a two-car collision Monday night that resulted in the temporary closure of Santiago Canyon Road in eastern Orange County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Names of the two accident victims were not immediately released pending notification of relatives, a CHP spokeswoman said.
The accident occurred about 7:10 p.m. one mile southeast of Chapman Avenue, the CHP said. Officers had to close parts of the road for nearly three hours.
Other details were not immediately available.
