Woodland Hills West rallied for six runs in the sixth inning and went on to defeat Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, 11-5, to win the American Legion World Series in Millington, Tenn. Woodland Hills is the first team from California to win the title since 1976. West infielder Del Marine, who batted .459 in the postseason, was voted national player of the year.
