2 Men Are Wounded By Gunfire at Party
Two men were wounded when gunfire erupted at a party Saturday night, police said.
Santa Ana Police Sgt. Jim Seleno said officers responded about 10:20 p.m. to a call about a disturbance at a large party at a home in the 1600 block of South Hickory Street and found that Anthony Levine, 19, had been shot four times, with no apparent motive.
Levine was taken to United Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
A second victim, George Romero, 19, later showed up on his own at the same hospital and was transferred to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center. He too was reported in stable condition, police said.
Seleno said investigators are trying to determine what provoked the gunfire.
