American men finished 1-2 in three of the final five events and Janet Evans became the first woman in the the USA-USSR series to win three individual events as the United States cruised to a 201-136 victory at the Alamo Cup Dual swim meet at Atlanta.
Evans won the 400-meter individual medley in 4:41.23. She also had won the 400- and 800-meter freestyles.
