Commercial Scene : Airport Atrium Under Construction in Torrance

Construction has begun on the $15-million Airport Atrium, a 100,000-square-foot office building on the northern edge of Torrance Municipal Airport.
The four-story structure, at 2780 Skypark Drive, will have an atrium that runs from the ground floor to the top of the building. The exterior of the complex will have narrow bands of white concrete alternating with wider bands of blue glass.
Architect is the Nadel Partnership of Santa Monica and developer is Torrance-based Real Property Resources Inc. The Seeley Co. of Torrance is leasing agent and the Los Angeles office of Koll Construction Co. is general contractor.
