Building Missing Freeway Link: The Controversy Continues
- Share via
Evidently, Sam Hall Kaplan has never attempted driving from south of downtown during the rush hour to the northeast side of town. That is on the agonizing Harbor Freeway, which is even more horrendous when Dodger Stadium is in use.
It’s too bad the residents of South Pasadena and El Sereno will be disturbed by the new freeway link, but the common good of the majority should prevail here. Those historic houses can always be moved, and other displaced residents should be compensated.
What’s the big deal? That’s not too much to offer in exchange for a new freeway that will benefit millions of people for generations to come.
