George McCloud, the Indiana Pacers’ top draft pick, has rejected a one-year, $975,000 contract offer from Messaggero of Rome. That is the Italian club that signed Danny Ferry, the Clippers’ No. 1 draft pick, to a two-year deal worth a reported $4 million.
Messaggero later signed Boston Celtic guard Brian Shaw to a two-year, $2 million contract.
