CANBERRA, Australia — Tourism has replaced wool as Australia’s No. 1 revenue earner, Tourism Minister Clyde Holding said today.
The tourism industry earned a record $5 billion in foreign exchange in the year ended June 30, while export earnings from wool were just under $4.6 billion.
