Argentine financier Jacabo Finkielstain pleaded guilty in Manhattan to participating in a scheme to defraud the now-defunct Central Bank of New York of $38 million. Finkielstain had been the 99% owner of the bank that was closed and placed in receivership by the FDIC in September, 1987......Financially troubled L. J. Hooker Corp. has agreed to sell its interest in Parisian Inc. to members of the two families that own the rest of the specialty retail chain, for an undisclosed price.
