The Sadler’s Wells Royal Ballet will make Costa Mesa its only Southern California stop on its 1990 North American tour next August, company director Peter Wright has announced. Wright did not specify a venue, but the likely site for the troupe, the sister company of Britain’s Royal Ballet at Covent Garden, would be the Orange County Performing Arts Center. On July 2, the company will open a five-week, three-city U.S. tour in New York, then move to the Kennedy Center in Washington before reaching Costa Mesa. Casting and repertory will be announced later.
