Redington Is MVP in All-Star Game

Tom Redington of the Class-A Burlington (Iowa) Braves hit a solo home run and a single to lead the South to a 4-1 victory over the North in the Midwest League All-Star game Tuesday in South Bend, Ind.
Redington, who played at Esperanza High School, was voted the most valuable player of the game. He singled and scored in the sixth and hit his home run in the eighth.
