LAS VEGAS — A college student has lost a bid to collect a $1.1-million casino jackpot he hit while gambling illegally as a 19-year-old.
State District Judge Donald Mosley Tuesday upheld a ruling by state gaming regulators allowing Caesars Palace to refuse to pay Kirk Erickson, now 21, of Royal, Ark., the jackpot he won on a $1 slot machine in 1987.

Erickson said he will appeal.
