Limit Contributions
James Flanigan’s excellent column, “Give Congress a Raise but Limit Contributions” (June 4) didn’t go far enough. We should also limit tenure. After better than 30 years on the public payroll, Jim Wright got sloppy, arrogant and greedy. And it didn’t take Tony Coelho that long.
The XXII Amendment can be expanded by the simple addition of seven words: “No person shall be elected to the office of the President nor Senator more than twice, nor Representative more than thrice . . .”
