“Chip ‘n Dale’s Rescue Rangers,” a new animated series from Disney’s Buena Vista Television, will ride into the first-run daily syndication market this fall on a $30-million marketing campaign. Buena Vista executives called the campaign “unprecedented” when they announced details at a press conference Tuesday in New York. The effort includes Disney theme park promotions and store displays, cable and print advertising and tie-ins with major corporate sponsors such as McDonald’s and Kellogg’s. “Chip ‘n Dale’s Rescue Rangers” will join the current on-air series “DuckTales” for Buena Vista’s hourlong “Disney Afternoon” programming block. The shows are on KHJ-TV Channel 9’s fall schedule.
